The Fandom Fashion Walk is a family friendly and all ages event.
All designs must cover all private areas completely, as a swimsuit would, and shoes must be worn at all times. The designs must also be compliant with IKKiCON’s cosplay dress policy.
Designs must be recognizable to the fandom being presented without veering into cosplay.
Things such as wigs and color schemes may be pulled from source material, but no garments should be a direct match. The majority of the outfit must be an original design. (For example, a designer may use Tanjiro’s hairstyle and distinct green check when creating a Demon Slayer inspired design but may not replicate his uniform.)
Designers must present their own original works for this contest. No previously published works by another creator, such as designs by Hannah Alexander or Sakizo, may be used.
At least 50% of the outfit must be handmade or significantly altered from pre-existing garments.
A work log template will be provided to contestants to fill out prior to the event. Those who have competed in cosplay contests before may be familiar with work logs however the focus of this event is for design so the work log for this event reflects that. The work log may be printed in black and white but the design drawing must be in color.
Models are permitted if the designer does not want to walk the stage, but designers are responsible for finding their own model.
Designers may bring up a handler to assist them backstage and for getting on and off the stage, but they are responsible for providing their own handler.
Be respectful to other entrants. Unruly or disruptive behavior backstage or during the show is not permitted and entrants associated with this behavior may be removed.

-
