Before the Weekend Begins
A few things to know before the weekend begins.
First Time at IKKiCON?
Whether this is your first anime convention or your first time attending IKKiCON, we’re excited to welcome you. With cosplay, gaming, nightlife, panels, concerts, meetups, and events happening throughout the weekend, there’s no single “right” way to enjoy the convention, and there's always something to experience
What to ExpectYou Don’t Need to Cosplay to Belong
While cosplay is a huge part of the anime convention scene, plenty of attendees come in everyday clothes. Whether you cosplay all weekend, dress casually, or are still figuring things out, everyone is welcome at IKKiCON. There’s no “correct” way to enjoy the convention as long as you’re respectful of the people around you and having a good time.
Help Us Keep the Community Welcoming
IKKiCON is built around community, creativity, and shared fandom. Treat fellow attendees, guests, volunteers, staff, and hotel employees with respect, and help us keep the convention enjoyable for everyone attending.
We’re excited to welcome you to IKKiCON and hope your weekend is filled with great memories, new experiences, and new friends.
What Makes IKKiCON Different?
IKKiCON is a “hotel convention”, which means the experience goes far beyond scheduled events. Some attendees spend the weekend exploring panels and concerts, while others enjoy gaming, cosplay meetups, late-night karaoke, hanging out with friends in the lobby/softseating, or discovering completely unexpected moments throughout the weekend.
The convention stays active well into the night, and part of what makes IKKiCON special is the community atmosphere that develops throughout the event.
Take Your Time and Explore
It’s easy to try to plan every hour of the weekend, but conventions can become exhausting fast. Leave time to relax, eat, hydrate, explore the venue, and enjoy unexpected experiences along the way. Some of the best convention memories come from random events, conversations, and discoveries you never planned for.
Comfortable shoes, portable chargers, water, and rest will go a long way toward making your weekend comfortable.
